オオナンバンギセル (large Aeginetia indica, scientific name: Aeginetia sinensis) is a parasitic plant of the annual plant of the cancerroot department Aeginetia indica genus. Another name, mountain Aeginetia indica.

Characteristic

I am parasitic on the root of gramineous monocotyledonous plants such as a Japanese pampas grass or the Calamagrostis arundinacea. I cut into the root of the host at bottom and take in nutrition. There are extremely briefly several cataphylls, and the stem which hardly appears on the ground stretches out floral design from the underarm of the upper cataphyll for a long time.

I resemble congeneric Aeginetia indica, but it is larger than it, and I am slightly shameless, and, as for the floral design, the length becomes 20-30cm with diameter 3-4mm. As for the calyx, the Aeginetia indica has a sharp tip, but, in the tip of this seed, the length becomes 3-5cm dully.

The flowering season is from July to September. I touch one big crimson and violet-colored flower which turned to the side on the tip of the floral design. In a big barrel of 4-6cm in length, the tip does 5 裂, and the corolla becomes the lips form, and there are the teeth which are small for the relationship of the corolla sliver. The relationship of the corolla sliver of the Aeginetia indica becomes all edges. 蒴果 has a large quantity of small seeds into a germinal vesicle form.

Distribution and growth environment

In Japan, I am distributed over Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu and grow it in the grassland of Miyama. In Asia, I am distributed over the central part of China.
