One of the administrative section (ペリフェリアキ エノティタ) where the bird empty prefecture (Greek :Τρίκαλα/ Trikala) constitutes Thessaly district of the Hellenic Republic. In the prefecture capital, a bird is empty.

Geography

Position, expanse

The bird empty prefecture is located in the inland of the western part of Thessaly district. The carane fool of the prefecture has Meteora of the world heritage.

In the south, in the southwest, in the west, in the north, the east contacts with ラリサ prefecture each グレヴェナ prefecture ヨアニナ prefecture Alta prefecture カルディツァ prefecture.

Geographical features

In the eastern part of the bird empty prefecture and the southern part, the valley exists on Thessaly plains less than 100m above see level, too. A pin DOS mountain range runs in the western part of prefecture, and the forest opens in the center. The northern part of prefecture is also a mountainous district with the forests, and Mt. ハシア and Mt. アンティハシア rise. In addition, ピニオス river flows through the prefecture.

Climate

The bird empty prefecture is Mediterranean climate mainly. Winter becomes relatively stern in the western part of prefecture and the northern part that are the mountains of prefecture while the prefecture central part is a warm climate.

History

The area of the current bird empty prefecture began for the rule of the Thessalian, and, after the Macedonian kingdom, Roman Empire, Eastern Empire, rule of Thessaly straw Kia, it was in a rule bottom of Ottoman Empire. The bird empty prefecture as the wide area local government (Nomo's) before the カリクラティス reform (2010) was comprised of the following basic local governments (D muslin and キノティタ).

After reform, the old local government becomes the administrative section (ディモティキ エノティタ) constituting the new local government (D muslin).
