Life

Nagel was born as Mulheim Ann デア rule. I am known by writing of all three "Allgemeine Geschichte der Musik" with the joint work with Richard バトカ (German version) most. As for the study on his Mozart of curl シュトルク "Mozart – I am praised in Sein Leben und Schaffen (1908). In addition, the article that I wrote about Die Nürnberger Musikgesellschaft (1588 –1629 age) was quoted with the plural works which handled history of given music afterwards.

I acted as an editor of the Neue Musik-Zeitung from 1917 through 1921. I took the reactionary viewpoint of the nationalism as a journalist [1]. "It is Der Futurismus with "musikalische Impotenz" (musical inability) for this purpose – I criticized Ferruccio Busoni, Arnold Schonberg, the modern composer of Joseph Matthias ハウアー and others using [2], aggressive words such as "empty laughingstock" (hirnverbrannte Lächerlichkeit) in the debate of Hans Pfitzner and Paul Bekker over eine undeutsche Erscheinung (phenomenon of futurism - non-Germany). He writes it down as follows. "It is tumultuous.even if I noticed it when addicted to a guess for the present who [3] that even some are the phenomena that there is not of the place having something common with the German musical sense that cannot speak ill of us, and is healthy of such the merely morbid structure and imagination world that it was intellectual enlargement about an increase abnormally, or was conceited, and was corrupted that should be evaluated or performance maniac that it is only the row of the note that both the understanding and the distinction are impossible anymore, and a dissonance is insensible of the tonality, and what I see piles up without an ordinary man being able to recognize a relationship and order of the rhythm, and collides and, in other words, is in confusion."
