Tohoku Chuo Expressway (とうほくちゅうおうじどうしゃどう, TOHOKU-CHUO EXPRESSWAY) is an expressway of approximately 268km in total length to connect Soma-shi, Fukushima to Akita Expressway in Yokote-shi, Akita via Fukushima-shi, Yonezawa-shi, Yamagata, Yamagata-shi, Shinjo-shi in the starting point. The abbreviated designation Tohoku Chuo Expressway (とうほくちゅうおうどう, TOHOKU-CHUO EXPWY).

Summary

In the road of this section, it was undertaken an enterprise sporadically after (1984) in 1984, but it is expected that it is elaborated a plan by a high standard highway, and Soma - Yokote interval is applied integrally for the first time (1987) as Tohoku center traversing Expressway in 1987 by the cabinet decision of the fourth whole country overall development plan.
