The ridge of the nose (びきん) narrows a nose in superficial head lines of the human head in the nasal region neighborhood and is muscle opening. The ridge of the nose is divided into transverse part (musculus compressor naris) and alar part (nostril open summary) and may sometimes include nasal septal depressor muscle. One of the muscle is cutaneous muscle terminating in the skin.

In a human being, there are two origins of the ridge of the nose and it is an ala of nose equivalency part along the anterior surface of maxilla piriform aperture lateral margin with the ridge of the nose transverse part and has it with the ridge of the nose alar part from the cuspid tooth socket tuberal part of the dental alveoli of maxilla tang.
