The John rally Kelly youth (John Larry Kelly, Jr., from 1923 to 1965) is a scientist of the United States of America. I worked in Bell Laboratories.
I am known for discovery of Kelly standard (Kelly criterion) that is an economic law to lead fund distribution to maximize profit in the situation with the uncertainty including a gamble and the investment [1] [2]. With Claude Shannon and others, I studied most efficient bet by a gamble using information theory. But I did not bet it by oneself.
Even the study of the voice synthesis was known and let a song sing to a computer first in the world. I let Daisy Bell sing in IBM 7094 in 1961. Computer HAL 9000 that an SF film, a novel appears on "the trip of the 2001 space" because Arthur C Clark who visited Bell Laboratories saw this demonstration will sing Daisy bell.
In 1965, I died by brain bleeding on a street of Manhattan.
