The civil war in Angola continued from 1975 and was continued, and this was war by proxy of the U.S. and Russia under the Cold War. It became the struggle of the 置 くた National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) to The Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) and Nanbu who suppressed the capital at a base in the 1980s. Soviet Union or Cuba supported MPLA, and United States of America or South Africa supported UNITA via Namibia.

With relaxation of the Cold War, the east side will weaken participation in Angola, and, for a detente, the Angolan stationing Cuba forces will withdraw.
