Railroad of the Dominican Republic

The railroad () of the Dominican Republic is provided as sugar mill () business mainly by one national operator and several private citizens. It is not allied with the adjacent Republic of Haiti by rail.

History
In 1877, the first pike leading to プエルト プラタ (Puerto Plata) through Santiago デ loss カバリェロス (Santiago de los Caballeros) from Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo) starts a business [1].

National railways

City railroad
The opening of business of the first rapid transit system in the nation is a subway network used in capital Santo Domingo inaugurated at the end of 2008. The subway network consists of the routes of two to become 27.4 kilometers in total length (17 mi) including the extension plan [2]; [3] [4]. In Santiago デ loss カバリェロス which is the second city of the Dominican Republic, a light rail system () is planned [5]; [6].
