The public agricultural high school where the Okinawa Prefectural Miyako agriculture and forestry high school (おきなわけんりつみやこのうりんこうとうがっこう) was located in Miyakojima-shi, Okinawa.

Okinawa that integrated 沖縄県立翔南高等学校 with a principal school (2008) in April in 2008 Prefectural Miyako synthesis business high school starts. I closed a school (2010) in March in 2010 when attendance at school life graduated.

• I add an agricultural course to - 宮古群島政府立宮古中学校 (1946) on April 1 in 1946 [¹].
• It becomes - 宮古群島政府立宮古高等学校農林部 (1947) on April 1 in 1947 [¹].
• I am renamed to the Miyako agriculture and forestry high school with - educational system reform (1948) on April 1 in 1948 [¹].
• I am transferred (1952) on April 1 in 1952 by - Ryukyu government and become 琉球政府立宮古農林高等学校. In addition, it becomes the coeducation [¹].
• I am renamed to the Okinawa Prefectural Miyako agriculture and forestry high school with - mainland return (1972) on May 15 in 1972 [¹].
• I am integrated with - Miyako agriculture and forestry high school (2008) on April 1 in 2008, and Miyako synthesis vocational high school starts [¹].
• Closing a school-type - (2010) on March 2 2010 [²].

Activity of the environmental engineering department environment group

The study of the group "protect water of Miyako; because making of organic fertilizer ... which was eco-friendly with ... soil accumulation phosphorus" "won Japan river association third young people research activities Prize in 2004 [³], and won the eighth Stockholm young people water grand prix Japanese's first in Swedish Stockholm [⁴], and called the prize with "the Nobel Prize of the water", and was established for the purpose of being global for the world young people, and supporting that wrestled for maintenance of the water and aquatic resources management, and there was not a river, and the environmental engineering department environment group protected the groundwater which was a lifespring from pollution by the artificial manure in Miyakojima which couldn't but rely on all of the drinking water to groundwater, announced the research and development of organic fertilizer bio phosphorus, and made the manure which produced widely available in a local farmhouse, and it was evaluated by groundwater maintenance that wrestled [⁵].

I run and unification with south Senior High School

Unification with same 市内沖縄県立翔南高等学校 was pushed forward by a prefecture and was unified (2008) in April in 2008. But a lot of dissenting opinion of local inhabitants ran into difficulties, too.

Though a prefecture pushed forward unification as the reason from 2002, it was on June 3, 2006 that the briefing session to local inhabitants was held, and an opinion, "it was not possible for personnel training when I contributed to the personnel training of primary industries of Miyako and integrated reorganization with both schools, and unification was" against it "is contempt of a remote island, area inhabitants that the prefecture side "integrated reorganization" by today's briefing session without the area inhabitants not having heard it, and the briefing session opening for three years" by the briefing session appeared.
