Ohira remains
Ohira remains (おおだいらいせき) are remains of the Jomon period in Ojiya-shi, Niigata. I am appointed in the Ojiya-shi designated historic spot.
Summary
It is on the hill of 220m above sea level of the Shinano River left bank. I take on yellow than Kanto loam to 2m to 30~40cm from the pumice layer, the riverbed of thickness 10cm from the surface of the earth, and Echigo loam deposits.
Because a large quantity of carbide, scorched earth did 遺存 at the time of excavation, an archeology enthusiast was said that it was a house trace. And excavation was carried out in the Ojiya-shi Board of Education main constituent on ~25 day on August 21, 1956.
Carbonization materials of building materials are seen in the pillar hole of the house trace around with a half moon type on the stone, the floor. The pillar hole circumference displays boards to surround the house trace, and there are a fence and the trace which I did. Because there is charcoal ground burning of 20cm on the floor, I am considered to have done a deserted house by a disaster.

As for the earthenware vessel, the majority is an earthenware vessel of straw-rope patterned pottery or the slanted line goring crest with the bamboo skewer-formed tool. Among earthenware vessels with the Jomon to skew it, 80% are the left bias.
