Mokubei Aoki (I put it, and there is the Japanese laurel, too Meiwa four years (1767) - Tenpo era May 15, 4 (July 2, 1833)) is an illustrator of the Edo era, a ceramist of the Kyoto ceramic ware. Kyoto birth. The childhood name is 88. The character is Sahei. A bower cloud tower, a multiplication table scale [1], tree U.S. [¹] deafness rice [¹] that 106 blue next [¹] washouts (106 anchoresses) [¹], antiquity feel 号 [¹]. The popular name is Sahee Kimura [¹].

Life

The tree rice was created (1767) in Kyoto for Meiwa four years [¹]. I learn young a book from Fuyo Ko [¹] and show a brilliant figure. I read "the Sue opinion" which a vermilion shade bower of 清 wrote in a library of Kenkado Kimura and am impressed and, at the age of 29 years old, want to be making earthenware (the tree rice reprints "Sue opinion" later) and become a disciple of Eisen Okuda [¹]. I open the pot and get reputation from Kyoto, Awata tongue after 30 years old. I received invitation of the Kaga feudal clan Maedas five years later and made an effort for reproduction of the Kaga Kutani chinaware which died out. I produce a green tea of medium quality device for a ceramist mainly. White porcelain, celadon porcelain, red glazing, the product area including the dyed pattern are wide. From the admiration to Chinese old ceramics, I opened the original world to the copy of Chinese article. A picture belonging to a southern school of Chinese painting system has many excellent works. I die (1833) for Tenpo era four years [¹]. Age at death 67.

I am considered to be a person with 永樂保全, Dohachi Ninnami in three late Tokugawa period of the Kyoto ceramic ware.

Episode

The tree rice is emitted from the fire to blaze in the pot at the temperature of the pot; judged it from a sound with the crackle. Therefore the ear of the tree rice always went red up tumor, but the tree rice lost a sound in later years because I continued making earthenware while I recovered completely without changing the technique so that there was not it. I claimed deafness rice (ろうべい) not tree rice afterward.
