市轄区 where Mentougou District (もんとうこうく) is located in People's Republic of China Beijing City. I belonged to 宛平県 (there was the prefecture castle in current Fengtai District) once.

Geography
I am called the ground which "overlooks the town to the east, and a long and extensive castle runs in the west, and goes to the desert" from ancient times. As for the size of the ward, north and south 34km, East-West 62km, areas extend to 1,455 square km. A mountain range lengthening from 太行山脈 is in the western part of the ward, and 98.5%, the level ground area are only 1.5% a mountainous district area. The highest peak in the ward is the highest peak of Beijing City in east sacred mountain (2,303m above see level) at the same time. I have intense pitch difference, and vertical distribution of the vegetation is seen in a ward.
I pass to 100km, and the main river flows through the ward in Eitei River.
History
For pre-283 years, Kamiya, a fishing positive county were established in the Mentougou district by 燕昭王. Wide positive, Kamiya county were established to Hata charges, and Sui was naive, and 幽州薊県 and 燕州沮陽県 were established, and I was reorganized with the state system abolition of (great deed three years) for 607 years by Ji County and 懐戎県.
I unified (-based average two years), the western part of Ji County and the eastern part of Hirohira prefecture for 781 years, and 幽都県 was born newly, and I was renamed to 宛平県, and it was done 沿襲 a name of 宛平 until the end of name of an era in the Republic of China in 1012 by (開泰元年).
When the People's Republic of China was formed, they divided 宛平県, and the flat prefecture, part to Hebei were reorganized partly to the Beijing City 16th ward. In September, 1952, both are admitted into the Kyoto west mine lot and it is renamed to Mentougou District in May, 1958 and reaches it at the present.
