Kenzo Ogata

Kenzo Ogata (おがたけんぞう from February 3, 1912 to February 13, 1988) is a Japanese landscape gardener, a person of designed garden.

I dedicate the lives such as designed garden, design of the public landscape gardening, introduction of the Japanese garden culture to the foreign countries, developing education, upbringing to the improvement of the field of landscape gardening. I contribute to improvement of the desired house environment of landscape gardening studies for corporate judicial person Japan landscape gardening consultant association's chairperson widely.

Have a great interest in "a natural copying view type garden" from an idea of the developed designed garden from natural observation; of Juki Iida become of the same discipline. The way of the garden in the new に present age is shown, and it is a future index while being the designed garden, and acquiring the study of the traditional garden technology in 造景美 due to a rock, water, the tree by the inventive idea. The designed garden activity of these new tendencies contributes to the training of the successor.

I enter the Iida office of Juki Iida after graduation in forerunner Chiba high gardening school in the Chiba University Faculty of Horticulture and spend the ascetic practices era. It is Iida office and I feel a question in making a garden for a wealthy person and work in the Tokyo prefecture park section from 1935 and help Iida in a few minutes only on Saturday and Sunday.

The lecturer served at one time in Nippon University, too.

I specialize in a design of the public landscape gardening after having done 京央造園設計事務所設立. There is the embodiment of a large number of public works projects and makes full use of knowledge of the tropical zone landscape gardening that I always studied on progressing of the plan of the Okinawa marine exposition and I am at the head up to the design enforcement of the tropical zone dream center directly and teach it and make an effort for the completion. I perform a lecture in upbringing of the disciple, Nippon University department of science and engineering, the Tokyo University department of agriculture by a method to learn while working while I give the achievements as the landscape gardener.

• On February 3, 1912, it was born in Karatsu-shi, Saga seven mountain village.
