Johan Andreas Stein

It is a German piano production engineer, and Johan Andreas Stein (Johann Andreas Stein, from May 16, 1728 to February 29, 1792) is a central person in the history of the piano production.

Person, origin

In 1728, I am born in Germany Hildesheim. I study it with father who was an organ builder and study under the Heinrich Silber man who is the nephew of the piano Gottfried Silber man who produced it later in Strasbourg [1].

In 1751, I establish a piano studio in Augsburg and begin the production of the forte piano.

I give improvement to the mechanism of the piano action that a Silber man produced and complete the action called "Vienna expression action" later. The piano of the model equipped with this action gains popularity for many years, and Mozart leaves a letter of the great admiration when I played a forte piano of Stein [2].

The piano production that adopted Vienna expression action is inherited including ナネッテ シュトライヒャー which is a daughter to Johan Baptist シュトライヒャー of the grandchild, Emil シュトライヒャー.
