The professional player former girl tennis player that Helena スコバ (Helena Suková, February 23, 1965 -) is from Czechoslovakia Prague. There was 4 degrees runner up by the women's singles of four major meetings and was over for a runner up by 2 degrees in the U.S. Open in the Australian Open twice. In OLYMPIC, we have two women's doubles silver medal acquisition in 1988 by Seoul Olympics and 1996 Atlanta Olympics. I was brought up in the noble tennis family in Czechoslovakia at the time, and seawife スコバ (from 1931 to 1982) of mother was the excellent player who had the career of the Wimbledon runner up of 1962, too. Cyril Suk (Cyril Suk) of father is the person who acted as a chairperson of "the federation of Czechoslovakia tennis" for many years. It is well known to the Cyril Suk third (called the Cyril Suk youth) of the younger brother for a professional tennis player as a specialist of the doubles.
Origin
After seawife スコバ of mother died on May 13, 1982, Helena of the daughter became a professional in January, 1983. スコバ raised its large Venus which tore Martina Navratilova in 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the semifinals in the held Australian Open in year-end December at the time of 1984. Navratilova whom there was for the heyday was recording unreached's four biggest meeting "6 successive victories" and singles "74 successive victory" until the U.S. Open at that time from Wimbledon in 1984 in 1983 of the last year. However, by the defeat of this スコバ war, Navratilova will miss a grand slam in "the year" of 1984, and two great records stop. It was スコバ which went into four major meeting singles finals for the first time, but was defeated by Chris Evert Lloyd by 7-6, 1-6, a reversal of 3-6 in this way in the final. Is defeated by Navratilova in 3-6, 2-6 in the U.S. Open final of 1986, and is the second time by four major meeting singles; is a runner up.
スコバ is not blessed with luck by the singles of four major meetings, and 1989 is over for the second runner up in the U.S. Open in the Australian Open afterwards in second, 1993. The partner that the later twice lost in the final was Steffi Graf. As for スコバ and the graph, スコバ won by the first play of the summer of 1983, but finishes being 21 successive victories of the graph afterwards. The four major meeting singles runner ups of スコバ became the four times in this. スコバ gave "ten wins" by the singles of the WTA tour, but championship of the open tournament is included in that in Osaka, Japan in 1992, too.
Helena スコバ was well known as a master hand of the doubles and gave tour total "68 wins". Even four major meetings record five wins by nine wins, the mixed doubles by the women's doubles. スコバ pairs with Jana Novotna of same Czech in 1990 and recorded four major meeting double 3 successive victories, but I lose in the women's doubles final of the U.S. Open and lose "the double year grand slam" since the Martina Navratilova & Pam Shriver group of 1984. スコバ went into the final with all three branches of women's singles, women's doubles, the mixed doubles and, in the U.S. Open of 1993, was defeated by a graph in the women's singles final, but won the championship at two branches of women's doubles and the mixed doubles. I paired with 15-year-old Martina Hingis in those days and won the Wimbledon women's doubles of 1996. As for the mixed doubles, there are two things that three championships in league with Cyril Suk paired with Australian Todd Woodbride of the younger brother.
In スコバ, the three times of Atlanta Olympics participated in Olympics tennis competition for Barcelona Olympics .1996 years for Seoul Olympics .1992 years in 1988. スコバ and Jana Novotna win two women's doubles silver medals by Seoul Olympics and Atlanta Olympics. The Seoul Olympics are the historic meetings that accepted the participation of the professional tennis player for the Olympics for 1,988 years. スコバ and Novotna were defeated by the Geena Garrison & Pam Shriver group of the American representative in 6-4, 2-6, 8-10 in the women's doubles final and missed "a revival gold medal" of the tennis women's doubles. She was Olympics all-star representative of "Czechoslovakia", but Czechoslovakia dismantles a federation in 1993 and, for 1988 and 1,992 years, is divided into "the Czech Republic" and "the Slovak Republic". After the Czechoslovakia dismantling, スコバ participated in Atlanta Olympics of 1996 as a Czech all-star representative. スコバ was defeated by the Class American Gigi Fernandez & Mary Joe Fernandez in 6-7, 4-6 in partnership with Novotna by the women's doubles of Atlanta in the final for the first time in 2 meetings.
スコバ is a double of "the Toray Bakery Pacific open tennis tournament" of Japan, but 5 degrees of .1993 years wins the championship for .1992 years for .1988 years for .1985 years in 1984.
