GnomeVFS

GnomeVFS

GnomeVFS (GNOME Virtual File System) provides the abstraction layer for read/write / practice of the files. I am used by a file and other GNOME application mainly.

The file system abstraction layer in the Linux kernel is called virtual file system (VFS), too, but more lower layers have that.

GVfs becoming the substitute of GnomeVFS is developed now and I can mount a partition via FUSE and am going to do it. [1]
