CUBE(K5)

CUBE(K5) (cube) is an electronic musician resident in Kyoto. I play an active part in fields such as エレクトロニカ, electronics, the technopop.

Brief career history

• I work on composition from 1980 and start. I give a musical piece for a session band and the broadcast and perform music activity of the NPO, the exhibition of the sound installation work to an art event, live activity, the collaboration with artists of various fields except the music lively.
• In 2005, I participate in Ryuichi Sakamoto official recognition project musicplans skmt tribute. I release an album. ^[1]Ryuichi Sakamoto tribute album "music plans skmt tribute" (Green Enagy/GECA1106) 　
• In 2006, I participate in technopop compilation album, TECHNO4POP vol.4.
  • It is released the United States in 2009 by American label MAR CREATION.
• In 2007, deepen musical interchange taking advantage of participation in Ito Koichi and "Ryuichi Sakamoto official recognition project musicplans skmt tribute" of Unnecessary Noise Prohibited each other and, in 2008, form a unit name as The Phonos. An album produces "the dream of the boy". In January, 2009 and May, The Phonos is nominated for an audition of program "RADIO SAKAMOTO" of Ryuichi Sakamoto of J-WAVE. (several times consecutive nomination)
• I develop an experimental sound event with Sumihisa Arima of the sound artist titled crosstalk from 2008.
• In 2009, I develop a new event under the theme of "the electronic music that is cafe and アンビエント in the space called the bar" not a club and a live house titled cafe project.
• In 2009, I establish label "DIGITAL ART REMIX". Album "Interaction form" is released at the same time 22 countries of the world by viBirth, MOBILE GIGA, iTunes Store.
• In 2010, I act in the same play by an event of the 70th anniversary of the museum opening attached to the 1300th Anniversary of Nara Heijo-kyo Capital memory, Nara Prefectural Kashihara archeology research institute with sitarist vina Fumika (VeenaAyaka), tabla player Fujisawa Bayan (Bayan). I perform tradition music and collaboration of India.
• In 2011, I participate in charity album Artist Action for the purpose of the victim support of the Great East Japan Earthquake with the appeal of Mr. トベタ バジュン in solo again as unit The Phonos as Cube(K5). (leading a person from nomination of the audition of program RADIOSAKAMOTO of J-WAVE where Ryuichi Sakamoto acts as navigation as for the participation member.) The album sales become the contribution through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
• I participate in plan album "Congratulations on your 60th Birthday Dear skmts" which similarly person from audition, Babi of RADIOSAKAMOTO play a key role, and celebrates the sixtieth birthday of Ryuichi Sakamoto in 2012 in solo as unit The Phonos as Cube(K5). To the child music reproduction fund for the purpose of the musical instrument-related reconstruction aid for schools in primary, middle and high schools as for the album sales the kindergarten of the stricken area is contributed.

In the same year, I participate in compilation album PLAY FOR JAPAN 2012 for the purpose of the Great East Japan Earthquake stricken area support. On March 11, I release it (to a main participation member Miyuki Hatakeyama, SOUL FLOWER UNION, [green leaves Ichiko ]+[ Kazuhisa Uchihashi], DE DE MOUSE, Tyme. x Tujiko) from OTOTOY. (the total amount that deducted fees from album sales is contributed for stricken area support as a contribution.)
