History
A first-class car of Citroen where I received the back of Citroen, CX and appeared in 1989. Station wagon-shaped Blake appears in 1991. As for the break, the hatchbacks of the standard model were produced until 2000 in 1998.
I leave it to succeeding car model C5 of Xantia announced in 2000, or the position as the first-class car stood, but, as for the official succession car model, it is C6 announced in 2005.
I won car of rhinoceros yeah of 1990 in Europe. This was the third receiving a prize following GS, CX as Citroen.
A front wheel was MacPherson strut and took place of ハイドロニューマチック where a rear wheel adopted the tray ring arm, the spring to a senior model of Citroen from this model till then, and the suspension adopted ハイドラクティブ which incorporated electronic control. I introduced ハイドラクティブ II which evolved more in 1993. In addition, a self-centering system is carried in a left-hand drive model.
As for the design, an advanced design was in charge of interior decoration PSA by decoration Italian carrozzeria Bertone.
CX of the former model was a sedan, but became the hatchback in XM while being a first-class car. However, there was a partition of another glass between rear seat and a compartment and was able to keep indoor airtightness even if I opened rear hatch.
In 1994, a large-scale minor change was given, and the shape of the meter circumference and the dashboard was big, and different one スポークステァリング which was in this way inherited by DS, CX became extinct. In addition, the logo mark is changed from XM to Xm, too. Most of the decorations did not change, but double Chevron (emblem of Citroen) which the shape of the front grill was changed, and stopped at the left side was central and moved.
A diesel engine of the inline four-cylinder SOHC water-cooled at gasoline engine and 2.1L and 2.5L of the V-six SOHC (PRV engine) water-cooled at inline four-cylinder SOHC, 3.0L cubic centimeter displacement water-cooled as for the engine at 2.0L cubic centimeter displacement. Gasoline engine and 2.1L of 2.0L, with turbo was to the diesel engine of 2.5L again, too. In addition, 24 valve versions were added in 1991, and the gasoline engine of V6 was made DOHC at 3.0L in 1998. I drove them by the FF system of the Citroen tradition.
The AT is a speed order type, and a marking is given the speed that it is changed gears into in each gear to a tachometer because I change gear depending on speed. By the way, because it was changed gears, shifting considerably bothered the third speed → the fourth speed that was not performed with approximately 80km per an hour on the Japanese street, and it was, and, in D3, shifting sounded through a few sense of incongruity and mileage by the low-speed traffic jams only to the third speed whereas two kinds of D modes had a mode of (D3, D4), and D4 became the OverDrive state. However, I show the behavior that is more favorable than current learning type AT mechanism for the cruise maintenance.
The body size is 4,710mm in total length X overall width 1,795mm X overall height 1,395mm, wheelbase 2,850mm. The break is 4,965mm in total length X overall width 1,795mm X overall height 1,465mm, wheelbase 2,850mm.
ハイドラクティブサスペンション
ハイドロニューマチック which spread out balanced good ride comfort and grounding characteristics of the tire with DS, CX, but they were totally meaningless for the lateral roll, and only the run characteristics "that I cleared while greatly rolling it at a corner" that it might be said with the characteristic of hydroCitroen were provided. A roll is held in check if I reduce gas in スフェア, but this leads to aggravation of the ride comfort at the same time and is put the cart before the horse. Therefore it is ハイドラクティブサスペンション which by anteroposterior one adds スフェア to four スフェア where it was possessed by a parietal area of the anteroposterior suspension what were devised (will have six スフェア in total), and controls them by electronic control. "アディッショナルスフェア" added between anteroposterior wheels in "wheels fair" and ハイドラクティブ which old four of them had is connected at an oil line and usually lays good ride comfort by six スフェア by runs, and the oil from wheels fair" is cut off, and "アディッショナルスフェア" works that it is a hardware mode and controls a nosedive and a roll in immediate acceleration, hitting the brakes and the high speed cornering and achieves ride comfort and run-related coexistence. There are "normal" and the mode changeover switch of "sports" in an initial model between seats, and a computer controls connection, block, and アディッショナルスフェア is fixed in the hard ride comfort that アディッショナルスフェア is always cut off if I choose sports, and controlled rolls by driving condition if I choose normal.
Sale in Japan
Sun roof XM-X belonging to it was imported by XM and the luxurious equipment for gasoline engine by 3.0L water-cooled V-six SOHC from 1990 by Seibu auto sales and ユーノス which were a regular import agency.
- The right and left choice of the steering wheel position was enabled from 1991.
- In 1992, XM-S (only as for the right-hand drive) where XM Blake of the station wagon loaded with the same engine omitted the equipment for XM in 1993 was added.
- From 1994, the XM breaks of the station wagon model after the minor change were imported XM エクスクルーシブ after the minor change that received a change of the front grill and interior decoration in place of XM-X in 1995. In addition, ハイドラクティブ of the suspension was changed to more improved ハイドラクティブ II.
- Because ユーノス became extinct in 1996, it was imported only Seibu auto sales and was sold until 2001.
- The transmission was all AT of ZF4 速, but, as for the regular imported one, the vehicle which order replaced the fifth speed MT with from Metropolitan France because this transmission is very inefficient and I am more likely to cause trouble exists in Japan.
