Kind of the birds that ハシボソミズナギドリ (嘴細水薙鳥, a scientific name: Puffinus tenuirostris) is classified in shearwater eyes - petrel.
I am known as one of the longest-distance migrating birds [1] and I do it to total distance during one year and move approximately 32,000km (a comparison document of the distance: 1 E7 m).

Distribution
It spreads in islands in the suburbs of Tasmania from the southeastern part of Australia.
I go north in the non-breeding season, and I am observed, but, across the equator, there are approximately few anniversaries in the Japanese sea near the shore in the winter season. The young individuals which a parent bird and a baby bird make a large crowd in from May to August, and go north in the Pacific coast for outcome, from May to June are seen a lot. A large crowd moves the ocean looking for a fish and a cuttlefish, a krill, and there is the group passing to the Arctic Ocean beyond the Bering Sea among them. I can look at the baby bird which does not propagate in the Japanese sea near the shore in whole year, but the parent bird which I wrote down breeding in returns at the North America coast to the breeding place across the Pacific after having gone south.
It becomes approximately 32,000km when I trace the route of the ferry and can describe "8" big characters of the head in half of Kitanishi of the Pacific. Sit astride the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere that I match it with outbreak of the bait, passing is the greatest scale in birds with arctic tern of the gull department. In addition, "it is the longest in birds" is substantial having the same meaning saying "it is the longest in flight animals".
Form
At 42cm (40-45cm), the wing open head (width of right and left when I opened a wing fully) becomes 97cm (95-100cm), and the full length does the figure that half made below an albatross (wing open long approximately 240cm) small. The weight 480-800 g [2].
The color of the body is blackish brown approximately from head to foot, but, with the sex same color, the undersurface of the body takes on gray a little. I see the undersurface of the wing in gray and light gray by the condition of rays. The bill is blackish brown and is rather thin than other shearwaters briefly (bill peak long 31.5-34.5mm [3]), and this is an origin of the Japanese name. The foot is blackish brown.
Habits
I inhabit the ocean in the non-breeding season. Sea surface low くを flies with fast flap and 滑翔 as alternation and gathers a lot when I find a group of the bait including fish and the cuttlefish and I go into the inner space and do 採食. I run while flapping at the time of the flight from the sea surface [3].
A male and a female same for every Kojima lying scattered in Tasmania and the Bass Strait, the southeastern part of Australia for 9-10 a year these past months come flying, and the breeding place spreads grass in the den of 1-2m a little [4] and lays eggs in one in the end of November. As for the egg, white nothing is spotted at 7.2-7.3cm *4.4-4.7cm. The incubation period approximately 50 days [3]. When a young bird performs incubation (it blows), the parent bird comes to go out to 連日採餌 to the Australian south sea to give a young bird a krill.
I get fat, and the young bird given bait abundantly in a den gains weight and exceeds the build of the parent bird. If a young bird becomes big enough, the parent bird leaves a young bird with the physical strength and leaves to a long wanderer to the Northern Hemisphere. The young bird which stayed survives with fat content stored in a body and stomach and grows up and after having done molting to the feather of adult, I leave the den and follow the parent bird.
with the human being of relationships
I called a young bird of the time left in the den Mutton Bird (mutton bird) in Australia and it was edible and performed the oil manufacture of fat and used it to preparation (vitamin A agent) [4]. But the number of the capture is limited, and all the breeding places are protected severely.
