Summary
The target ship which was constructed (1941) in the wartime of the degree in 1941 by an additional plan (circle 追計画). Plan number J32[4]. It was told to be only for a bombing exercise by Japanese Navy's first warship constructed as target ship. The hull adopted the fo'c'sle type hull, and it was swelled, and I established the space in the bottom, and 22mmDS steel sheet improved safety on a defense deck to tolerate a bombing practice bullet from the hull in a discrete spar deck. 艦載艇 was carried in this space, and there was not it, and it was a warship type such as the small carrier other than necessary bridge deck, chimney, mast as a ship to a minimum on the deck. A 13mm machine gun was carried on the deck, but was removed when I used it for bombing training. In addition, I possessed a curtain mark to show warship width in 重巡洋艦程度, and right and left horizontal direction came to be able to stretch it in the boom that set it in the ship's side of the defense deck [14].
It became A fast (for Settsu 18 knots 19.3 knots) from "Settsu" remodeled into the target ship, and the exercise performance improved in those days, too. But I navigated it at around 30 knots including the destroyer in the actual fighting, and a higher speed was required to target ship [15]. In addition, because I worried about reconstruction performance, the warship of the same type was not made, and the Ohama type who improved the point was constructed by the 改 circle 5 plan [15].
Warship career
A tentative name name of a warship 660th warship [4]. I was completed (1943) at Harima shipyard on November 18 in 1943 and assumed it the Kure naval station family register. I departed from Kure Port on neighbor 24th attached to the combined fleet on December 1 and went to the track. The 13mm machine gun was changed for the 12cm 単装高角砲 2 gate to be usable for guards duty in the case of the coming and going to the training place [8]. The equipment, a radar and the underwater hearing aid were equipped with, too and were going to remove a lot of 25mm3 multi-launching machine gun and 同単装機銃 at the time of the training at the same time [8]. I engaged in bombing training by the truck, but I evacuated by a truck island air raid of February 17 (1944) in being bombed, Palau in 1944, the following day and received repair by "Akashi". I engaged in bombing training in linga anchorage or Davao after March and I guarded a fleet from Keelung on Keelung cruise, October 1 in September [16] and returned to Kure on October 6. I engage in bombing training in the Seto Inland Sea and greet the end of the war unhurt afterwards.
On December 1, 1945, I am appointed to the special transportation warship of the Kure district demobilization local site pipe [17] and engage in demobilization transportation afterwards. The designation of the transportation warship was solved especially [18] and was delivered to Fujinagata Shipbuilding&Engineering and, on December 23, 1946, was made the dismantling [19].
