Summary

At one 1 line station above the ground, it was so-called "line station". There was the platform on the east side of the track, and the exit existed nearer the north. The position where the station was caught a railroad crossing in front of the current Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station north exit and, in an immediate place, was right just a stone's throw.

Because only 400 meters had distance with Hitotsubashi University Gaku Station of neighbor Station, I would be unified for congestion reducing and disappeared.

Origin of the station name

"The Kodaira school" of the station name is the name with the university town "Kodaira university town" which Hakone land Co., Ltd. (later コクド, current Prince Hotel) elaborates a plan and developed not a school name.

The Hakone land which fixed on the fact that the demand for suburbs house increased by the Great Kanto Earthquake of (1923) in 1923 envisioned "the national university town" which national, did "Oizumi university town" assuming a school invitation led by Tokyo university of commerce (existing Hitotsubashi University Kunitachi school building) in the Oizumi district (still large Izumimura) of Nerima each and started housing land development. It was "Kodaira university town" to have been made mainly on Tokyo university of commerce preparatory course (existing Hitotsubashi University Kodaira school building) as one.

The cityscape of the grid opening around Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station can see the feature of this "Kodaira university town" now.

Measures at the time of the unification

On the occasion of the opening of business of Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station, to assume it an exchangeable station; a divergence machine of the north side of the Manabu Kodaira Sono Station yard will be approximately founded at the position equal to the middle. However, I was not constructed until just before that because you must bend the existing track when I constructed it earlier, and a train hit the home in a junction department. Therefore, the divergence machine levels a home after the last train of the day before unification and will be installed.

Situation after the deserted station

They merge the place where there were a home and the station building at the mall and are done bookmaking, and they are lined with multi-tenant buildings, and the remains of an ancient structure are left for nothing now. There is still the divergence machine set up midmost of the old yard in the same place and acts as north end region of the yard of Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station.
