Gap junction
I tie an epithelium cell next to each other, and a gap junction (- けつごう) is combination between the cells passing a water-soluble small ion and numerator.
Plural ends of the protein complex called the connexon equal the cell membrane of two cells which formed a line and make mediation structure. This connexon becomes the channel, and an inorganic ion and small water-soluble molecules can move from the cytoplasm of the adjacent cell to cytoplasm directly through here. In addition, I am concerned with the excitement spread such as myocardium tissues to connect cells electrically.
