Summary

It is said that Paul Bley and Steve swallow, Chick Corea and others practice jam session and the improvisation between jazz musicians in 1971 and makes "Real Book" which 採譜 does celebrity music in oneself and gathered up in a file. After distributing it to a musician or the student of Berkeley College of Music and the neighboring music schools where Steve swallow worked for in those days as the exercise teaching materials, I won popularity, and the copy of the file spread out afterwards. As for those things which copied it, and was printed, the darkness buying and selling was done for around 100 dollars without license in a musical instrument shop and a bookstore, a music school of the United States. There were editing such as yet another musician rewriting it on an original copy and the thing which I added a sheet of music to in that. Such book was called "Fake Book" (fake book) for a real book. [1]

It is easy to see an original more, and Hal Leonard of the publishing company of the music book which fixed on this in 2004 makes a fair copy, and "the The Real Book 2nd edition" which pays an all songs copyright royalty, and got licensing is sold. It is published to 6th edition (the sixth edition) now. In addition, I sell the fake book series that Hal Leonard changes the key to music of the real book and added music to.
