The Yataro Kojima / Sada Kojima interest (こじまやたろう / こじまさだおき) is a military commander of the age of civil strife. A vassal of Uesugi. I appear as ogre Yataro Kojima in "絵本甲越軍記". I served it as an aide from native place in Myokokogen and reason, the childhood period of war-torn country daimyo, Kenshin Uesugi of the Echigo country. I am told that I was afraid with "ogre Kojima" in heroes of the strong incomparableness, but am doubted whether you existed without being listed in a military duty book and a list of Uesugi. Because a lot of people who give their Kojima family name all over the Uesugis exist, there is the opinion which I created from there.

However, after a lot of legends about him teaching the large monkey which Yoshiteru Ashikaga keeps a lesson (there is the anecdote in 太田道灌), and defeating the fierce dog which attacked worth Takeda when a messenger did it, and Masakage Yamagata seeing that 嫡男, Yoshinobu of Shingen Takeda falls into a predicament in the middle of single combat with Yataro, and applying to Yataro saying "I want to leave a game because I want to save the predicament of the son of a noble family of the lord", I receive a favor and, in the case of a fight of Kawanakajima, praised Yataro with "a warmhearted brave man" [¹], and various anecdotes are left for what Yataro willingly consented to.

It is said that Yataro was the Otoyoshi lord of a castle in the legend (Nagaoka-shi, Niigata). There is a thing considered to be a grave of Yataro in the British rock temple of Iiyama-shi, Nagano. In addition, the place of ogre Yataro Kojima death in battle is in Tenjinyama of Tochioonomachi, Nagaoka-shi, Niigata.
