Summary

I followed a concept of the concept model MT-01 "beating" that I announced toward each medium by auto shows in 1999, and development was performed as a keyword by "Seoul beat V twin sports" to be able to enjoy a feeling of beating that seemed to be large size V twin-engine so that the name showed it.

Because I did not lose light sports characteristics not to be provided by cruiser, I cast a ceramic plating cylinder and a forging piston, the technique like the sporting motor vehicle such as the down draft type injection of φ 40mm, and the parts which rose to 90% of components such as 吸排気系統 and the crank were designed newly while assuming an air-cooling type V 2 cylinder engine of capacity 1,670cc equipped with in XV1700 system basics and were reborn to the individual engine which produced the best output which was exceptional for an engine equipped with on Ney kid motorcycle in 4,750rpm. In addition, EXUP is adopted as a type V 2 cylinder engine for the first time and contributes to improvement of a feeling of torque and beating of the low rotary level characterizing this model.

Not only I produced beating with an engine, but also various approach was tried for the body as direction to enjoy the beating that was a concept. As for the aluminum die-casting frame that the design which did not spoil the presence of the big V twin-engine was accomplished, it was done a rigid mount in a cylinder head part and crankcase region, and a design was done so that the explosion of the engine was felt directly.

As for the anteroposterior suspension, reverse trass shape rear arm of division into two of welding structure is adopted in the handstand-type suspension, rear of φ 43mm at the front desk, and the shock absorber is equipped with through a link to the side. As for the wheel, the characteristic form that a rim becomes wider is than a hub, and, from the good balance that the drive sprocket of the engine is located on the right side, rear brake disc is equipped with unlike the placement of the general driven sprocket and brake disc about the rear wheel on a driven sprocket, the left side on the right side.
