Tsunemi Kubodera (くぼでらつねみ, 1951 -) is a Japanese marine biologist. The degree a science of fisheries doctor (Hokkaido University, 1982).

Nakano-ku, Tokyo birth. I learn in primary, middle and high schools and Tokyo, and, in 1971, Hokkaido University Faculty of Fisheries enters it. In 1982, I act as a research assistant after completion with Doctoral degree course in Hokkaido University graduate school science of fisheries graduate course marine ecology specialty in American Oregon State University ocean department. I work in the National Science Museum from 1984 [1]. A Dr. 1982 Hokkaido University science of fisheries "ecological study of the open sea-related cuttlefishs in the North Pacific subarctic zone sea area."

In 2004, it is succeeded for the first time in the world in the deep sea of the Ogasawara Islands offing by the photography of the live giant squid. I was living and, in 2006, caught a giant squid to the sea surface [2]. In 2007, is chosen as "the Japanese of 100 that the world respects" of "Newsweek" [1]; [3]. "Huge creature [4] of the NHK special series deep sea" broadcasted in 2013 took up giant squid photography of 窪寺 and created a big sensation, and the program won Kan Kikuchi Prize.
