trans- aconitic acid 3 - methyl transferase (trans-aconitate 3-methyltransferase, EC 2.1.1.145) is an enzyme catalyzing the following chemical reactions.

S-adenosyl-L-methionine + trans- aconitic acidS-adenosyl-L-homocysteine + (E) -2-(methoxycarbonyl methyl) butenedioic acid

Therefore, as for the substrate of two of this enzyme, S-adenosyl-L-methionine and trans- aconitic acid, two products are S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and (E) -It is 2-(methoxycarbonyl methyl) butenedioic acid.

This enzyme belongs to the family of the methyl transferase letting a transferase particularly 1 carbon group metastasize. The systematic name is S-adenosyl-L-methionine: (E)-It is プロプ-1-ene-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid 3'-O-methyl transferase (S-adenosyl-L-methionine:(E)-prop-1-ene-1,2,3-tricarboxylate 3'-O-methyltransferase).
