Summary

There was Fujikawa between old Matsuno village (via Fujikawa-cho as for the present Fuji-shi) and old turf Tobimura (via Tomihara-mura, Shibakawacho as for the present Fujinomiya-shi) and used a ferry boat to ford it, but was not available when I rose once. Originally it was on Suruga Province street Iwabuchi, the Yui route, and Minobu Line extended to turf Tobimura in (1915) in 1915, and bridging was demanded in an early stage because the Matsuno villager used Shibakawa Station when Shibakawa Station started a business.

It was built a bridge as a suspension bridge in (1930) in 1930 and came to be able to ford the first bridge regardless of flooding of Fujikawa, but it was barely enough for one car to go, and whenever a car went from the instability of the suspension bridge more, I shook, and the resident crossed the bridge while feeling fear [1].

Therefore I will be changed in a bridge strong after the war, and a current truss bridge is completed in (1955) in 1955. The used suspension bridge was removed, but a part of the supporting beam on the Matsuno side is left now till then.
