History
A Khitan invaded Koma for (Korai exoteric Buddhism two years) in 1011. I am told that production of the first Tripitaka began based on the open treasure Tripitaka (971 through 983) of 蜀版 to pray for national defense. The Khitan retreated afterwards. The woodcut was moved to 符仁寺 of Taegu.
Mongolia invades and attacks for Korai for (Korai high sect 20 years) in 1236. The woodcut in accord with 符仁寺 was destroyed by fire by war damage. The high sect which evacuated to the Jianghua Island ordered production of the Tripitaka again. I carried wood of the white birch (there are a cherry tree and a document to do) from 巨済島 and the south seas and I took time of 15 years and carved a thing woodcut in relief more than 80,000 pieces. This is the Korai 80,000 Tripitaka to come at the present.
After completion, I am carried to 支天寺 of Hanyang. It was saved afterwards in a current Kaya mountains and seas mark temple. Is saved in a sea mark temple; passed, and the storage of board was built in (1488) for 李朝成宗 19 years.
The Tripitaka printed by a woodcut of this Korai 80,000 Tripitaka is brought into Japan in the Muromachi era by trading with ships authorized by the shogunate of Morimi Ouchi. In Zojo-ji Temple (Tokyo) and Otani University (Kyoto-shi), I possess the Tripitaka printed by a woodcut of the Korai 80,000 Tripitaka that it approximately completely kept.
I am considered to be 良本 with a little false carving (there is a divergent view) and am done with an original text of "大正新脩大藏經" (Okura publication) of Junjiro Takakusu, the Kaigyoku Watanabe supervision that enters in modern times, and was knit, and the text of the Tripitaka shown on today on a net is based on this.
