South Pole special committee

The organization where the South Pole special committee (なんきょくとくべついいんかい) performed the plan administration of the Japanese Antarctic expedition party.

Summary

I received that participation of Japan and the observation of geophysics phenomena were called for in CSAGI second South Pole meeting in 1955, and it was decided that I established the Antarctic observation enforcement unification headquarters (tentative name) in the Ministry of Education in a technology administration meeting (STAC).

I received this, and the setting of the South Pole special committee was voted for at Science Council of Japan 20th general meeting. It is South Pole study Committee of Correspondence (1975) in the back, a forerunner of polar region study Committee of Correspondence (1995) [¹].
