Shinseicho (しんせいちょう) is the town which was in Motosu-gun, Gifu. It merged in Motosu-gun 4 municipalities in (2004) in 2004 and became Motosu-shi.
The name of the town depends on the composition of Makuwa village and the judicial officer village which merged. Because this gourd was cultivated as for the melon (melon) flourishingly in Makuwa village, I came.

Geography
Town level is a part of strong tail Hirano, and the mountain does not exist alone in the old local government in current Motosu-shi. The Neo River flows through the west boundary of the town.
