Peter Simms (Peter Sims, April 7, 1938 new York City, also known as Pete ラロカ (Pete La Roca) – ) is a lawyer in jazz drummers of the United States of America on November 19, 2012. ラロカ is the stage name that I gave since I was active as ティンバレス player for the Latin jazz band era.
Brief career history
I was active as an exclusive belonging drummer of the workshops of the jazz as a bandleader again among other things in Boston while I played with Sonny Rollins and Jackie McLean, slide Hampton, John Coltrane quartet, Marian Mac part land, Art Farmer, Freddie Hubbard, Mohs アリスン, Charles Lloyd, Paul Bley, Steve キューン and others from 1957 through 1968. During this time, I announced two points of leaders album ("Basra (Basra)" (blue note, 1965) and "terquiche ウィミン atto- the bus (Turkish Women at the Bath)" (Douglas label, 1967)). In addition, it was belonging to Chick Corea and announced album "Bliss" (Bliss!) from Muses record.
When I left the music circles in 1968 and turned into the legal circles, and "the terquiche ウィミン atto- the bus" was belonging to Chick Corea, and it was announced without an agreement, I filed a suit and succeeded.
I returned to the jazz world in 1979. I announce leader album "swing thyme" (Swingtime) than a blue note again in 1997.
On November 19, 2012, I die because of lung cancer [1]. 74 years old death.
