Palmitoleic acid (British: at Palmitoleic acid, numerical value expression 16:1 at (n-7) or 16:1 Δ 9) is unsaturated fatty acid with a chemical formula of CH3(CH2)5CH=CH(CH2)7COOH included in glyceride of the adipose tissue of the Homo sapiens. There is it at every organization, but density is high in liver in particular. It is composed life by a function of delta -9 desaturase by palmitic acid. It achieves sensitivity of insulin by suppressing inflammation, and it is shown to inhibit the destruction of β cell of the pancreas secreting insulin again [1].
Source of supply
The palmitoleic acid is abbreviated in a sign of Δ 9 at 16:1. Be included in various animal oil, vegetable oil, fishery products oil and is ingested. Macadamia oil and the sea buckthorn oil include 17% [2], the high density of 40% [3] each.
Physiological effect
The possibility that influenced composure of the fat to liver, the synthesis of action, palmitate and fatty acid of insulin was pointed out, and a new term "lipoCain" who had a hormonelike effect was suggested [4].
One of such effects had improvement of the insulin sensitivity, and the palmitoleic acid restrained the expression of the inflammatory Hara gene and raised sensitivity of insulin by promoting metabolism of the liver lipid and showed the hyperglycosemia of the mouse which diabetes developed in and an effect to reduce hypertriglyceridemia [5].
In the different study, it was shown that the palmitoleic acid acted for a signal numerator to affect the weight [6]. This discovery is equal with the former observation result that other fatty acids taken in are used for from palmitoleic acid and food by a fatty acid oxidizing enzyme [7]. As a result, I may deal with obesity by making oil with many contents of the palmitoleic acid [8].
