Ohmsha (a British designation: Ohmsha, Ltd.) Co., Ltd. is a Japanese publishing company publishing a science and technology studies technical book, a computer-related book. From an ohm (Ω) that the origin of the company name is a unit of resistance.

Seiichi Hirota, 扇本眞吉 which were the founder of the electric equipment school (existing Tokyo Denki University) realized the need to provide knowledge through a technical periodical for the widely electrical engineering engineers of the whole country (1914) in November for 1,914 years without being kept on the frame of the electric equipment school and launched electricity magazine "OHM" with name of Ohmsha.
