Mouth shop of 1881 (1881)

A distribution way station on the Seto Inland Sea side of the other child copper mine which the tongue person (くちや) ran in the Meiji era from the Edo era, and there was in Iyo country new home county new home Hamamura. I stay as a mouth shop trace (くちやあと) and am known as the Niihama birthplace now.

I was appointed as "an other child copper mine mouth shop trace" in the Ehime designated historic spot on September 17, 1949.

Summary

(Genroku era four years), the Sumitomos performed a founding of an other child copper mine in 1691. Tenmaura, Uma-gun (current Doicho, Shikoku-Chuo-shi) was window Minato of the supplies transportation, but I was changed in the route which reached new home Hamaura via Tachikawa (inn for servants) via copper Yamakoshi for (Genroku era 15 years) for the next 1,702 years, and, in the beginning of founder, a mouth shop (Hamashuku) was established at the same time in new home Hamaura.

It was in the distribution way station that carried the crude copper which I carried from the other child copper mine to Osaka (Osaka) by ship, and the tongue person carried out the role of the way station of material and the food supplies for the people who worked again in a copper mine. The mouth shop was renamed to Sumitomo branch store and prospered afterwards as a center of Niihama for 188 years before moving to 惣開 (そうびらき) of new home Hamamura in (1890) in 1890 both in name and in reality.

Mouth shop trace

A mouth shop changes into the place that there was with an elementary school, a town office, a city hall, a library after (1890) in 1890 when the function of the mouth shop moved to 惣開, and it is now in a public hall. I am called the mouth shop trace, and only a feature of the former turnout remains here. The copper sheet relief which expressed scenery at the time is put on the entrance side of the public hall, and there is the monument of "the description of mouth shop trace origin" first, and "mouth shop あかがねの pine" exists in the same form since mouth shop establishment in the site more than 300 years.
