ミトゥンバ Mountains

ミトゥンバ Yamaji (British: Mitumba Mountains, Mitumba Range) is a generic name of the mountainous district sitting astride Lake Tanganyika both sides, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, five countries of the mountainous area in western Uganda forming Great Rift Valley west lift valley from the Shaba plateau (English version) northeastern part in southeastern Democratic Republic of Congo in a wide sense.

Geography

I am used in the narrow sense only referring to mountainous district and Lake Tanganyika west coast of the northeastern part of Shaba plateau. The highest peak of this case is 3,308m of the Mt. Kahuzi (English version). There are Kahuzi-Biega National Park, Virunga National Park and may remove ヴィルンガ Mountains.

I include ヴィルンガ Mountains and ルウェンゾリ Mountains in a wide sense, and, in the highest peak of this case, there are Cali Shin bimountain (4,507m), ムハブラ mountain (English version) (4,127m) elsewhere in Mt. ルウェンゾリ (5,109m).

Name

ミトゥンバ has a meaning such as "it is used" in Swahili.
