Magnetic bearing
The magnetic bearing (じきじくうけ, magnetic bearing) is a bearing supporting a body of rotation by magnetic levitation.
The magnetic bearing is used by a rotary plane (e.g., a turbo molecular pump, a centrifugal compressor, the flywheel for the electricity storage) under the special environment. The magnetic bearing does not have abrasion to perform non-contact support by the magnetic levitation. Therefore a lubricant is unnecessary, and the life of the bearing is semipermanent. Because I do not need a lubricant, driving in the difficult vacuum environment and very-low temperature environment is enabled with the conventional bearing. However, the field put to practical use is limited at high cost because it is larger than a conventional bearing. In addition, it is thought that the magnetic bearing is advantageous to use in the space environment, but practical use seems to be disturbed by a point of the reliability.

Kind of the magnetic bearing
Active voice model magnetism bearing
An active voice model magnetism bearing (active magnetic bearing, AMB) is a magnetic bearing using the power of absorption of the transmission electromagnet that it is the way it goes. It is a magnetism bearing used most widely. The active voice model magnetism bearing needs a displacement sensor and a control system to support a body of rotation for stability. Therefore it is expensive. I usually comprise supporting bearings (touchdown bearing) for the emergencies for the abnormality of the control system. In addition, I comprise backup battery and stop a turn at the time of a blackout safely. Because I use a control system, I can monitor the load of the bearing as an additional function.
The hybrid system that used a permanent magnet together for outbreak of the regular power of absorption is suggested. In addition, the self-bearing (bearing reply) methods that unified the self-sensing (displacement sensor reply) method that I am displaced and measure and a motor and magnetic bearings are suggested by an electromagnet.
Superconduction type magnetism bearing
It is a magnetism bearing using magnetic levitation by the Meissner effect caused by the superconduction. It is studied as bearings such as the flywheels for the electricity storage.
Repulsion type magnetism bearing (passive model magnetism bearing)
A bearing by the technique to say to let an axis remain at the stable pole only using repulsion by the magnetism. The feature is that I do not need a control system with a kind of the rotary stability-style magnetic levitation. Because I surface using an induced current to occur because of the turn of the body of rotation and am used as an induced current because a part of the rotatory power surfaces because I guide you, it is necessary for the outside to continue giving you energy to let you maintain a turn. When a turn stops, I cannot maintain surfacing.
