The levatores costarum muscle (ろっこつきょきん) is one of fort lines in the fort intercostal space among the muscles of the chest. There are 12 pairs in back of the external intercostal muscle.

I assume the transverse process of seventh cervical vertebra and first ... twelfth thoracic vertebra arising and leave for the outside lower part and attach to low-ranking ribs.

I am able to raise ribs.
