Kageyasu Takahashi (たかはしかげやす, Tenmei era five years (1785) - civil administration February 16, 12 (March 20, 1829)) is an astronomer of the last part of Edo era. A popular name, product Court Security Office. I was born as Osaka as the eldest son of Yoshitoki Takahashi who was an astronomer. An older brother of Kagesuke Shibukawa.

Life

I succeed father in (1804) in the culture first year and become Edo Shogunate astronomical position and engage in astronomical observation, surveying, translation of the astronomy-related book.

I produced (1810), "new revision all countries complete chart" for culture seven years (as for the copperplate engraving production Denzen Aodou). On the other hand, I supervise national surveying business of Tadataka Ino and help totally. After death of 忠敬, I complete "Japan shore whole world complete chart" based on his actual survey.

I become a superintendent of (1811), the foreign documents settlement order for culture eight years and begin duties to translate "public welfare forming anew". I took office as the book prefect and the astronomical position first on the list in (1814) for culture 11 years, but I participate in Siebold case of (1828) for civil administration 11 years, and I am imprisoned on October 10 by Temmacho prison and die in prison (1829) on February 16 for civil administration 12 years, the following day. The age at death45。 The corpse is preserved in salt and, after death in prison, is saved and I am drawn some other time on March 26 in the next year and am sentenced to artifact of a severed head punishment after guilt handing down. Therefore, the cause of death becomes the form called the beheading in the official record.
