Geography

It is located in the western part of Anan-shi, the mountains of the Naka River midstream right bank, and, in the north, in Oimachi, the west, in Otaicho, the east, Kamocho, Suiicho, the south contact with Wajikigo, Naka-cho, Naka-gun.

There is little level ground, and there are many people running forestry. The whole area belongs to the Higashiyama Valley Prefectural nature park.

History

It was a village of 那西郡 and Naka-gun over 1889 enforced the municipality organization from Edo period. I belong to Naka-gun from Kanbun four years.

It became the larger section of a village of county Kamo Tanimura in 1889. It becomes the larger section of a village of Tomioka-machi from 1955. Anan-shi is born in 1958 and becomes the current name of a street.
