Hiroshi Fukao

Hiroshi Fukao (ふかおひろし?in - 1880 in <1,880 in year as for 〉) a Japanese sailor. It is assistant navy second lieutenant who studied in the U.K. in the navy of the days of creation.

Life

It is Aizu clansman born as Michinoku country, Aizu. After having emigrated to Tonami by defeat of the Boshin War, I advance to the navy student naval academy with fan-tailed warbler Kumanosuke of the feudal clan. Two people were ordered studying in the U.K. from a student during attendance at school, but, as for Fukao,; is selected. It is Satsuma clansman, Goro Ijuuin to have been chosen together, and the selection reason of both persons is "belonging to" studies progress ニ [¹]. It sailed from Ijuin with Fukao (1877) from Yokohama on November 27 in 1877. However, Fukao is attacked in the inside residing in the UK by illness and considers returning home. It is judged to be complete recovery, and once got on board British United States Pacific Fleet flagship "Triumph" (Triumph) with Ijuin, but illness recurs soon and goes back. I become assistant Second Lieutenant of navy and I am ordered naval academy duty, but the health is not restored and dies. I was buried in the Tokyo navy burial ground. On the occasion of the death, I present "the senior service regulations" to the naval academy.

In addition, the fan-tailed warbler became the person killed in action of the person from sailor beginning, and Ijuin developed Ijuin fuse and I acted as the Naval General Staff vice-chief at the time of the Russo-Japanese War and played a big role in navy history and advanced to a general of the army, the admiral.
