Hardin county (British: Hardin County) is a county located the central part north of United States of America Iowa. It was 17,534 people, and the population in the 2010 national census decreased from 18,812 people of 2000 by 6.8% [1]. County seat is the county that is an L gong city (a population of 2,732 people [2]), and a city of the population maximum is an Iowa falls city (a population of 5,238 people [3]).

History

The Hardin county was established in 1851, and the county name was named for John J Hardin colonel from Illinois killed in action by American-Mexican War.

Three times of county Government buildings were built after Hardin county was established. It was the building of the small wooden frame, and the first generation was destroyed by fire by a fire in the 1850s. It was built in the place with the current sheriff office at 2 stories for the second generation. It was built in 1892 for the third generation and was completed on September 19, 1893. This building was appointed to United States of America nation history registration fortune in 1981 [4].

The Hardin county became the main photography place of the movie "twister" of 1996 with a story county. Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt appeared for this movie.
