Hans メルヒオール

Hans メルヒオール (Hans Melchior, from August 5, 1894 to March 12, 1984) is a German botanist. Based on a plant classification system of Adolf Engler, I proposed the classification system which I modified, new Engler system.

I was born in Berlin. I learned botany in Berlin University and became the assistant to harbor Lunt (Gottlieb Haberlandt) of the plant pathology research institute and got a degree in 1920.

I began to work with Adolf Engler of the Berlin = da rem botanical garden from 1920, and it was a professor in curator, 1940 in assistant professor, 1932 in 1927, and it was an upper grade councilor in 1955 and acted as a director until 1959 to retire itself from 1957. I educated you in Berlin college of engineering from 1940.

I contributed to the field of the plant taxonomy and studied camellia department and contributed to two revision of "Die Natürlichen Pflanzenfamilien" of Engler and Plandtl (Karl Anton Eugen Prantl). Publish ヴェーダーマン (Erich Werdermann) and "Syllabus der Pflanzenfamilien" (1954–1964); refuse toner (Hans Kastner) and "Gewürze. I published Botanische und chemische Untersuchung" (1974). It is an establishment member of association of international plant taxonomy (I.A.P.T. :International Association for Plant Taxonomy).

It was done 献名 in genus Melchiora Kobuski (synonym of Balthasaria) of the camellia department.

Melch. is used to show Hans メルヒオール when I show an author by the scientific name of the plant. (I search Author Details in /IPNI reading an author sketchy description.)
