Freddie Muller (Fredi Murer or Freddie M Muller, Fredi M. Murer, real name Alfred Melchior Murer, October 1, 1940 ベッケンリード -) is a Swiss movie director. It is one of the key person of "nouveau cinema Switzerland" and is known as supervision of "the open-air fires of the mountains".

Origin, person

On October 1, 1940, I am born in mountainous area of the German zone of Switzerland, nt Walden associate state ベッケンリード. As the youngest child of six children, the breeding, the parents settled grr down there afterwards in state capital アルトドルフ of the re-state. In 1959, I enter Beaux-Arts of Zurich.

I supervise work "we anchoress" (1974) given to the farmer of the mountain as return, the first long article documentary from the U.K. I stayed in the United States and took fiction film drama "gray domain" (1978) which followed, and performed doubt of existential uneasiness by the modern city life. In 1985, I brought about a true impact by "the open-air fire of the mountain" that I described the incest of the mountain man with a tragic accent in Greece in and won the leopard Prize which was the grand prix of the Locarno international film festival.

I begin the production with own production company "FMM film" in 2004.

In 2006, I supervised "my piano concerto" and won a great many international prizes. In Japan, the work by the same author is going to show it in late autumn, 2007, but all previous works have been ever projected in a special feature at the time of an "open-air fire exhibition of the mountain" in Athens Francais Cultural Center of Tokyo. Along with Daniel Schmid of the same German zone, alane Tanner of the French-speaking world, Claude ゴレッタ, Michel stay, it is a person of consequence of "nouveau cinema Switzerland" which arose at the end of 1960s.
