One ship of the LST-542 grade tank landing ship where the ダゲット county (USS Daggett County, LST-689) was constructed for U.S. Navy. The name of a warship is the only United States Armed Forces warship given this name to date for Utah ダゲット county. The original name of a warship was LST-689.
Career
On January 11, 1944, it was started work in Jefferson Building ship machine company of the Indiana Jefferson Building (Jeffersonville Boat & Machine Company), and I made Edith C Mrs. Smith (Edith C. Smith) a sponsor on March 9, 1944, and the launching ceremony was performed. On May 2, 1944, I make F D Mackay reserve duty sublieutenancy (F. D. McKay) the captain and am placed on duty.
I was dispatched in Asia, the Pacific front afterwards. I participated in the landing to Palau Islands and occupation, Leyte landing operation from September, 1944 to October, and I was spent in April, 1945 by the strategy of the Okinawa area. I retired on November 26, 1945, and the name was deleted on December 5 by a US Navy Navy list book. On June 25, 1946, I am sold to Arctic Circle exploration company of Washington Seattle (Arctic Circle Exploration, Inc.).
On July 1, 1955, I am placed on duty as ダゲット county (USS Daggett County, LST-689) again. October 1, 1959 removal from a register.
In 1961, it is given to Japan and is placed on duty as finished model transportation warship corner of Marine Self Defense Force (LST-4001). After I was returned to the United States in 1975, it is given again, and it is placed on duty as naval transportation warship Davao oriental (BRP Davao Oriental, LT-506), Philippines to the Philippines. After removal from a register, I was sold as a scrap.
LST-689 is presented with two war stars for activity in World War II.
