挑灯奉行

挑灯奉行 (ちょうちんぶぎょう) is one of the job titles in the Edo Shogunate. I am written as the lantern prefect. I controlled production, repair, the receipt and disbursement, storage of 挑灯類 such as 弓張挑灯, 箱挑灯 to use in Edo-jo Castle.

By duties founded in the Kanei era year, it is 持高勤 of the 80 higher. The capacity was rule of the expression of the eye in six people from three people. It was employed three people in the western citadel of the castle 挑灯奉行 in (1650) for go-between three years.

The description of Kanei era November 11, 19 of "大猷院殿御実紀" has the notation called "挑灯奉行" and is listed in the record of warriors of the culture first year with 御挑燈奉行.
