Geography
The whole area from southwestern part of existing Ami-machi to northeast some areas of Arakawaoki Station whole area, Ushiku-shi in southern Tsuchiura-shi is village area. By the topography with much Tando where level ground and the plateau of the Nikkawa (Otto River) basin were complicated in the morning that the name of a village was derived from, the west end region was full as a location and commercial areas of the small factory around Arakawaoki hotel of the Rikuzen Rikuzen-Hama Highway, and Arakawaoki racetrack was installed in the Arakawaoki Station east side. A lot of facilities of Tsuchiura navy flying corps were put in the proximity area with Tsuchiura-shi eastern former Ami-mura, and a lead-in and a road were maintained for the supplies supply to the flying corps.
History
Change of the village area
- True grain village, Yoshiwara-mura, Arakawaoki-mura, Arakawahongo-mura, Okishinden is complicated Fukuda village, Koike village, upper Nagamura by - municipality organization enforcement (1889) on April 1 in 1889, and Shida county Asahi-mura starts.
- - Shida county merges with Kawachi-gun (1896) on April 1 in 1896, and Inashiki-gun starts. It becomes the position of the county.
- For each one copy of - Okishinden and Arakawaoki, Arakawahongo is admitted into Tsuchiura-shi (1948) with Tsuwa-mura on September 1 in 1948.
- It merges with - Ami-machi, you Hara-mura (1955) on April 1 in 1955, and Ami-machi starts some other time. The same day Asahi-mura abolition.
- Some - old village level (some Fukuda) are admitted into Ushikucho (1957) in 1957.
- Some - old village level (some Fukuda) are admitted into Ushikucho (1958) in 1958.
