1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid-1,2-dioxygenase (1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate 1,2-dioxygenase) is an oxidation-reduction enzyme catalyzing the next chemical reaction in naphthalene, one of the anthracene degrading enzymes.

1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid + O2 (3Z) -4-(2-carboxy phenyl) -2-oxo-3-butenoic acid

According to the equation, as for the substrate of this enzyme, 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid and O2, a product are (3Z) -4-(2-carboxy phenyl) -It is 2-oxo-3-butenoic acid. I use iron as cofactor.

The organization name is 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate:oxygen 1,2-oxidoreductase (decyclizing), and another name has 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate dioxygenase, 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate-degrading enzyme, 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid dioxygenase.
