Origin

The Idesia polycarpa (Idesia polycarpa, a scientific name: Idesia polycarpa) is fallen leaves Takagi of the willow family (considered to be Idesia polycarpa department by the conventional classification including the クロンキスト system). Distribution

I am distributed over Japanese (Honshu and to the south) Korea, China, Taiwan [¹].

Form

The mignonette that the bark is smooth at height of the tree 8-21m, trunk diameter around 50cm. The chute has big marrow in grayish brown. The leaf is 8-20cm in length, 7-20cm in width with each other life, the branch earlier bunch-related heart form that does it, and is wide like a drill and Mallotus japonicus. As for the table, bottle green, the back are whitish. There are coarse saw teeth in the edge. It becomes the dark purplish red from orange when I become ripe and includes a brown seed of large number of 2-3mm. Use

As for the fruit, omophagia is possible and I process it and may be eaten [⁴].

Because a large number of red fruit becoming ripe in winter from autumn is beautiful, as a tree for the admiration, even other temperate zone levels including Europe are cultivated [²]. I am used for flower arrangement and decoration. There is the kind of the white fruit, too.

The lemonade (a scientific name: Citrus medica) is an evergreen shrub tree of Rutaceae mandarin orange genus. The name in Chinese 枸櫞 (cannot eat it). I am relation to a lemon.

Characteristic

Life
