Henry Ross Perot (Henry Ross Perot, June 27, 1930 -) is a businessman of the United States of America; a politician.

I ran for a presidential election of 1992 and a presidential election of 1996.

Table of contents

Native place

I am from Texas. I worked after graduation in the navy in US Navy naval academy four years.

Operation

With a portrait of George Washington displayed in the office of EDS (1986)

I enter IBM in Captain of navy in 1956 after the military retirement. I perform a company of Electronic Data Systems company of the IT service company (EDS) after duty for five years. I accepted an order of Medicare-related duties trust at first from the U.S. Government of the thing which had a hard fight in the business end and grew rapidly and did stock listing in 1968. EDS is purchased in 1984 by General Motors, and Perot links the name in the administration of the company, too, but leaves the office without being able to match with bureaucratism-like constitution of the company. I financed NeXT which Steve Jobs founded and founded Perot systems newly again afterwards in the field of business same as EDS in 1988. In addition, the Perot systems was purchased in 2009 by Dell of the major PC maker.

Political activity

Originally Perot was strong in the connection with the republican politician, but the policy of President Bush was almost a nonsupport. On the other hand, I declared presidential bid by Larry King live of February 20, 1992 without supporting the Democratic Party. I pledged financial balance and against gun control, protective trade. An approval rating of Perot rose while an approval rating hovered around doing it from the failure of the economic policy Bush an occasion, and other major candidates fell off a scandal Governor most influential Bill Clinton Arkansas in the primary election of the Democratic Party without support lengthening. I became the top in a public opinion poll at one time, and it was election that the two-party system that continued more than 100 years invited the end or attracted attention.

However, I considered that the presidential candidate registration in U.S. 50 states became delicate, and Perot expressed a non-run from sudden presidential race on July 16. Clinton and Albert Gore decided it to a principal and vice presidential candidate of the Democratic Party almost simultaneously and succeeded in attracting the support that lost a place to go in Perot withdrawal. Some supporters play a key role, and the campaign for presidential election continues, and the candidate registration in all states is completed afterwards. Perot declared the re-run to a presidential election to see it on October 1, and I fought, but the vote by the referendum stopped at 18.87%, and the elector was not able to acquire this election at all after having chosen James stock Dale to a running mate. However, it became the secondary factor of the Clinton election because the constant counting using marking spits was crowded with Bush substrate as for this result [the source required].

I appeal, and Perot does objection to NAFTA and forms United States of America Reform Party afterwards in 1995. I chose Pat Choate as a running mate and fought in a presidential election, but the vote rate was less than 8.5% and the last time. Manage to reach support of Pat Buchanan in the presidential election of 2000, but a part grows away, and go for the John ハグリン support of the natural rule party; in a division state. I lost the position of the third political party to the American Green Party which guessed Ralph Nader. Thereafter, Perot refrains from political activity, too.

Other

I employed specialist in special operation Arthur D Simons military retirement chicken colonel to save a company's employee held hostage by the Iranian Revolution of 1979 and succeeded in rescue safely [1].

I was tied up with SoftBank which led Masayoshi Son until just before that which became a presidential candidate before. When Perot runs as a presidential candidate, the SoftBank side is super conciliatory (I took over all debts), and it breaks off a tie-up from a thought that it is not preferable for a private enterprise to be tinged with a political color.

The アドレー Ewing Stevenson second (English: for Adlai Ewing Stevenson II, from February 5, 1900 to July 14, 1965) is an American politician. I was defeated in a presidential election twice (1952 and 1956). I acted as the ambassador to the United Nations under the Kennedy Administration.

Life

Breeding

I was born in the family of the politician in California Los Angeles. The アドレー Stevenson first of the grandfather was the Vice President (from 1893 to 1897).

After growing up in Illinois Bloomington, and having passed through チョート school, I graduated from Princeton University and Northwestern University. I got law digit in Northwestern University in Princeton University in bachelor's degree (the history, literature) and 1926 in 1922.

Illinois Governor

After graduation from university, Stevenson began the bar in Chicago. I entered the federal government in 1931 and was in charge of new dealism. I work in Washington as Department of the Navy vice-minister during World War II. I act as a UN representative after the war in 1946 and 1947.

Stevenson who thought about entering politics for several years scored an emphatic victory by a landslide victory for incumbent Dwight H Green by Illinois governor's race. Stevenson performed organization reorganization of the state police as Illinois Governor and supervised the illegal gambling strictly and maintained the high speed way between states.

Presidential election of 1952

As for Harry S President Truman, Stevenson suggested it the beginning of 1952 during Illinois Governor holding the post so that Stevenson accepted Democratic Party presidential candidate. Stevenson hesitated about the acceptance of the presidential nomination at the start saying that I promised to run for the governor's race second sitting. In spite of his assertion, the representative of the party chose him, and he accepted presidential nomination by Democratic Party national convention of Chicago. He could secure only nine states in a presidential election and was defeated with 442 to 89 by the electoral college vote.

Presidential election of 1956

In the Democratic Party, member of the Upper House Estes key four bar, three people of アヴェレル Harriman (the key four bar tore John F. Kennedy and gave the name to one of the presidential candidates) competed for the seat of the presidential candidate in the presidential election of 1956 other than Stevenson for Dwight D Eisenhower aiming at reelection, but Stevenson was appointed by a presidential candidate, and it was a confrontation of Aic VS Stevenson like election last time. However, a difference was acquired by an electoral college vote more from 457 to 73 and the last time this time and was defeated.

Election of 1960 and activity in the United Nations

with Kennedy of relationships

Stevenson does not demand the presidential nomination of the Democratic Party before Democratic Party party convention of 1960, but announces that I receive the different nomination demand. However, I felt regret and refused a nomination speech of John F. Kennedy who was the new face of the relative, and this still became a cause of the strain relations of both later as the recommendation candidate. When Kennedy was appointed, Stevenson who was a very famous rostrum worked on a campaign for Kennedy.

"Yes or no" or

The アドレー Stevenson second (1952)

When Kennedy won, I was appointed by the American ambassador to the United Nations and supported an American foreign policy eagerly. It is time of the Cuban Missile crisis that Stevenson became most famous.

"I waited for an answer until hell was frozen hard and swore with" (I am prepared to wait for my answer until Hell freezes over.) as soon as I asked again with "(Don't wait for the translation, answer 'yes' or 'no'!) which wanted to show a decisive photograph to disprove, and that an interpreter would not be necessary, and it to answer it in yes or no" after asking the delegation of the Soviet Union whether you installed a missile in Cuba in an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council held on October 25, 1962, and having denied it when Ambassador Soviet Union I re-Ann ゾリン did not exist, and dzo phosphorus refused an answer. I succeeded in showing to that the Soviet Union deployed a missile in Cuba by these tactics all over the world.

Death

On July 14, 1965, I died during London stay. The memorial service was held in Washington, Illinois Springfield and Bloomington.

United States of America presidential election (2004 がっしゅうこくだいとうりょうせんきょ, English not to lie down in the United States: United States presidential election, 2004) is United States of America presidential election held on November 2, 2004 for 2,004 years. Incumbent republican George W. Bush defeated John Kelly of the Democratic Party after a fierce battle and achieved reelection.

Table of contents

General statement

It followed that the incumbent President finally achieved reelection, but it was the fierce battle that elected candidates were replaced only by a result of one state where was higher than a middle scale reversing as well as election of 2000.

Joint, in Ohio that Bush won with 136,000 margins, the Dean camp of Green Party, a libertarian party and the Democratic Party requires the hand recount of all votes including a provisional ballot of non-count based on a state law. On November 15, I bore a count expense of more than 110,000 dollars, and the recount was carried out.

In addition, a recount was performed in a part electoral district by the demand of independent Ralph Nader and others saying that there was a mysterious point in the election return of the electoral district which used an optical reader mainly in New Hampshire that Kelly won with 9,100 margins. It was used to run out of a doubt in Florida that I changed from the punched card type to the e-voting in the last presidential election.

However, I counted the votes formally, and election of Bush established the electoral vote which caught the election results of each state in the Upper House, Lower House combination plenary session on January 6, 2005. A Senator Barbara Boxer, Stephanie tabs member of the House of Representatives performed formal objection, but Upper House one to 74, Lower House 31 to 267 and all were rejected by a wide margin. It is the second since 1877 that both Houses hold a plenary session individually and discussed about formal objection.

News scooped all the others with military career falsification of Bush in CBS evening of CBS known as the Democratic Party gathering and, during an election period, became the tempest, but because it became clear to be a false report complete later, plural executives of CBS were discharged, and Dan Rather who was a well-known caster was driven into the withdrawal.
